K8MM-V – how to get sata drive working in bios
I can see the drive in xp but cannot do anything with it. All you need is sata cables and an adapter if the power supply cable support only serial IDE. Sign in anonymously Don’t add me to the active users list. It’s worth a thousand words.

MSI K8MM-V Motherboard, How much support of Hdd capacity in Sata port
In the bios on this board it had to be set as IDE. Looks like the HDD or Mobo manuals are not explaining themselves or I would not have found so many troubles on this. I can’t even define an array. The following error or errors occurred while this message: Make sure that the onboard SATA controller msk enabled, if there uis a setting for that.

You only need the RAID drivers if your installing two indentical hard drives say twin ‘s the software would set up a RAID array making it seem like you have one gig hard drive, if I remember this right.
